SPARTANBURG, S.C.  – The Converse University swim teams split with Lenoir-Rhyne on Saturday morning, the men's team fell 121-84, while the women's team won 115-78.
 
On the women's side, Katie Beebe, Alison Ludeman, Kaitlin Williams, Julia Beebe and Mayle Iwanski were the top finishers for the Valkyries on Saturday morning. Katie Beebe won two individual events in the 200 free and the 200 fly events. Ludeman finished the meet with a first place finish in the 50 free event and second in the 500 free event. Williams won the 1,000 free event and finished second in the 100 free event. Julia Beebe won the 500 free event and finished third in the 200 free event on Saturday. Iwanski finished second in the 50 free event and third in the 100 free event.   
 
On the men's side, Henry Stockton, Louis Milczynski, Daniel Merzthal, and Tyler Leal were the top performers for the Valkyries on the men's side. Stockton won the 200 free event and finished second in the 500 free event against the Bears. Milczynski finished second in the 200 breast event and in the 200 IM event on Saturday Morning. Merzthal finished second in the 50 free event and third in the 100 free event against Lenoir-Rhyne. Leal finished third in both the 200 breast event and in the 200 IM event.  
 
Women's Notes:

• The 200 Medley Relay team of Milly Byrne, Ember Hill, Sofiya Gobora, and Alison Ludeman won the event with a time of 1:53.39.
• Kaitlin Williams won the 1,000 free event with a time of 11:17.64.
• Katie Beebe won the 200 free event with a time of 2:01.23, Julia Beebe finished third with a time of 2:03.78, Marie Durflinger finished fifth with a time of 2:25.76.
• Alison Ludeman, Mayle Iwanski, and Sofiya Gobora swept the podium in the 50 free event.
• Katie Mullen finished third in the 200 IM with a time of 2:23.39, Kate Hollingsworth finished fourth in the event, and Hill finished fifth in the event.
• Katie Beebe won the 200 fly event with a time of 2:20.91.
• Kaitlin Williams finished second in the 100 free event with a time of 57.81 seconds, Iwanski finished third in the event with a time of 58.23 seconds, Mullen finished fourth with a time of 58.45, and Durflinger finished sixth with a time of 1:07.61.
• Byrne finished second in the 200 back event with a time of 2:17.07, Gobora finished third with a time of 2:20.31, and Ansley Young finished fourth with a time of 2:20.76.
• Julia Beebe and Ludeman went first and second in the 500 free event. Beebe finished with a time of 5:29.88 and Ludeman finished close behind with a time of 5:34.92.
• Hill finished third in the 200 breast event with a time of 2:38.13, and Hollingsworth finished fourth in the event with a time of 2:44.97.
• The Valkyries 200 free relay teams finished first and second in the event. The "A" relay team of Katie Beebe, Byrne, Mullen and Julia Beebe finished with a total time of 1:44.64. The "B" relay team of Ansley Young, Hollingsworth, Williams and Iwanski finished second with a time of 1:47.06.

Men's Notes:

• The 200 medley relay team of Joey Lilley, Tyler Leal, Louis Milczynski, and Alexander Kuznetsov won the event with a time of 1:38.29.
• Micah Lesley finished third in the 1,000 free event with a time of 10:32.68, Kir Lyzhin finished fourth with a time of 11:05.53, and Davis Dial finished fifth with a time of 11:12.11.
• Henry Stockton won the 200 free event with a time of 1:44.74, Luigi Ballivian finished fifth with a time of 1:56.20, and Henry Winstead finished sixth with a time of 1:57.78.
• Merzthal finished second in the 50 free event with a time of 22.14 seconds, Keith Rogers finished third with a time of 22.18 second, and Alexander Kuznetsov finished fifth with a time of 22.72 seconds.
• In the 200 IM even Milczynski finished second with a time of 2:00.71, Tyler Leal finished third with a time of 2:05.05, and Jaxon Tschikof finished sixth with a time of 2:17.89.
• Kuznetsov finished second in the 200 fly event with a time of 2:07.40, Ballivian finished third with a time of 2:10.22, and Ryan Hunt finished fifth with a time of 2:12.36.
• In the 100 free event, Merzthal finished third with a time of 48.46 seconds, Rogers finished fifth with a time of 50.20 seconds, and Manny Schlichtmann finished eighth with a time of 1:01.10.
• Joey Lilley finished second in the 200 back event with a time of 2:02.87, Lyzhin finished fifth with a time of 2:12.65, and Dial finished sixth with a time of 2:14.30.
• Stockton finished second in the 500 free event with a time of 4:51.58, Lesley finished fourth with a time of 5:09.81, and Henry Winstead finished sixth with a time of 5:41.36.
• In the 200 Breast event, Milczynski finished second with a time of 2:18.74, Leal finished third with a time of 2:20.47, Tschikof finished fifth with a time of 2:23.09, and Schlictmann finished eighth with a time of 2:31.99.
• The Valkyries 200 free relay team of Lilley, Merzthal, Rogers, and Stockton won the event with a time of 1:26.80.
