Converse Men's Notes:
  • The Converse men's swim team is 7-1 overall on the season and 5-1 in Conference Carolinas action. The Valkyries have won six straight dual meets dating back to October 18th.
  • Last weekend, the Valkyries defeated Emmanuel 191-71 on Saturday afternoon inside the Montgomery Student Center.  
  • This will be the second meeting this season against both Lenoir-Rhyne and King. Converse defeated Lenoir-Rhyne 153.5-127.5 to open up the season and they picked up a 125.5-76.5 win over King on October 30th.
  • Senior Louis Milczynski was named Conference Carolinas Swimmer of the Week for his performance in the pool last weekend. Milczynski finished with three wins and one runner-up finish against the Lions.
  • Jay Owens finished second on the team last weekend with 605 points and Henry Stockton finished third on the team with 582 points.
  • The Valkyries picked up 12 event wins and 11 runner-up finishes. Milczynski, Owens, Stockton and Joey Lilley finished with three event wins each.
  • Tyler Leal and Keith Rogers both had a pair of event wins, while Micah Lesley and Daniel Merzthal each had one event win.
  • Merzthal had a team high three runner-up finishes against the Lions, while Alexander Nichols and Alexander Kuznetsov each had a pair of runner-up finishes.  
 
Converse Women's Notes:
  • The women's swim team is 3-8 overall and 3-5 in Conference Carolinas action.
  • The Valkyries are coming off 135.5-126.5 win over Emmanuel on Saturday afternoon.
  • The Women's team will be looking to even the season series against both Lenoir-Rhyne and King. Earlier this season, the Valkyries lost to Lenoir-Rhyne 148-131 and they lost to King 100-97.
  • Freshman Maya Guevara was named Conference Carolinas Swimmer of the Week for her performance in the pool last weekend. Guevara finished with a team high four wins against the Lions.
  • Alison Ludeman and Kayla Smith both finished second on the team with three wins each. Mayle Iwanski finished third on the team with a pair of wins and Ember Hill picked up an event win for the Valkyries.
  • Kate Hollingsworth had a team high two runner-up finishes, while Ludeman, Smith, Hill and Iwanski all picked up silver finishes against the Lions.
  • Juli Ganim and Elizabeth Klanderman both had a team best three third place finishes against the Lions. Hollingsworth, Hannah Huante and Valerie Perez all had a pair of third place finishes against Emmanuel.
