SPARTANBURG, S.C.  – The Converse University women's swim team went 1-1 this past weekend with a 117.5-103.5 win over King on Saturday and a 130.0-103.0 loss to Lenoir-Rhyne on Friday night.

Lenoir-Rhyne Meet Notes:

• On Friday night the women's 200 yard medley relay team of Mayle Iwanski, Ember Hill, Maya Guevara and Kayla Smith won with a time of 1:54.68.
• In the third event of the evening, Kaitlin Williams won the 500 free event with a time of 5:36.12 and Valerie Perez finished in third place with a time of 5:54.70.
• Alison Ludeman won the 100 free event with a time of 56.59 seconds, Juli Ganim finished fourth with a time of 1:00.92 and Marie Durflinger placed seventh with a time of 1:07.16.
• Guevara finished second in the 200 yard butterfly event with a time of 2:23.11 and Kate Hollingsworth finished third with a time of 2:31.96.
• Ember Hill placed third in the 50 yard free event with a time of 33.14 seconds and Liz Klanderman finished fourth with a time of 35.80 seconds.
• In the 200 yard backstroke event, Iwanski and Williams finished in second and third with times of 2:20.32 and 2:23.31. Gabriella Pinheiro placed fourth in the event with a time of 2:40.51.
• Ludeman finished second in the 200 yard free event with a time of 2:07.52, while Perez finished fifth with a time of 2:17.01.
• Freshman Kayla Smith won the 50 yard butterfly event with a time of 26.37 seconds and Hannah Huante finished third with a time of 28.99 seconds.
• In the 200 breaststroke, Hill finished second with a time of 2:36.73 seconds, while Hollingsworth and Klanderman finished right behind in third an fourth place.
• In the 50 yard free event, Ganim finished third with a time of 27.72 seconds, while Durflinger came in fifth place with a time of 29.37 seconds. In the 50 yard back event, Iwanski finished second with a time of 30.33 seconds and Pinheiro finished third with a time of 33.19 seconds.
• In the 200 IM event, Guevara and Huante finished in third and fourth with times of 2:23.39 and 2:23.49.
• In the 400 free relay the Valkyries A team of Ludeman, Ganim, Hollingsworth and Smith finished second with a time of 3:53.93. The Valkyries B team of Huante, Perez, Williams and Klanderman finished third with a time of 4:11.67.  

King Meet Notes:

• The Valkyries A Team of Klanderman, Hill, Guevara and Ludeman won the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:54.09.
• In the 500 free event, Perez finished third with a total time of 5:34.78, while Williams placed fourth with a season best time of 5:35.17.
• Guevara won the 50 fly event with a time of 27.09 seconds. Iwanski finished third with a season best time of 28.03 seconds and Pinheiro finished sixth with a personal best time of 32.26 seconds.
• In the 100 breast event, Hill finished second with a time of 1:10.04 seconds, Hollingsworth finished right behind in third place and Huante placed fourth overall in the event.
• Smith won the 100 free event with a time of 53.35 seconds, Ganim finished sixth with a time of 58.28 seconds and Durflinger finished seventh with a personal best time of 1:00.90.
• The Valkyries finished first and seconds in the 50 back event, Iwanski won the event with a time of 29.33 seconds and Ludeman finished second with a time of 29.62 seconds. Pinheiro finished fifth in the event with a time of 32.16.
• Huante finished third in the 100 IM event with a time of 1:05.21 and Klanderman finished fifth in the event with a time of 1:08.11.
• Guevara won the 100 fly event with a time of 59.36 seconds and Williams finished third with a season best time of 1:04.29.
• Smith won the 50 free event with a time of 24.38 seconds, Ganim finished tied for second with a time of 26.59 seconds and Durflinger finished fifth with a time of 27.92 seconds.
• Iwanski finished second in the 100 back event with a time of 1:03.38, while Perez and Pinheiro finished in fourth and fifth place.
• Hill won the 50 breast event with a season best time of 32.19 seconds, Hollingsworth finished second with 33.08 seconds, and Klanderman finished fourth with a time of 34.53 seconds.
• The 200 free relay team of Ludeman, Ganim, Hollingsworth and Smith finished with a time of 1:41.94, while the B relay team of Huante, Perez, Williams and Durflinger finished third with a time of 1:48.95.

The women's swim team will be back in action next Sunday afternoon for their senior day meet against Columbia College.
