2024-2025 (Senior): Tallied 553.10 points during her senior campaign and placed sixth on the team and 43rd in Conference Carolinas...Competed in eight total meets this season, at the Conference Carolinas Championships helped the 200 free relay team to a fourth place finish and the 200 medley relay team to a fifth place finish...Individually, finished sixth in the 100 back event and 10th in the 200 back event at the Conference Championships....At the Centre Speedo Midseason Invitational, helped the 800 free relay team to a fourth place finish at the meet...Individually, Gobora placed fifth in both the 100 and 200 back events.

2023-2024 (Junior): Did not compete

Prep: Prior to college Sofiya Gobora was a part of Sarasota Sharks and Tsunami Swim Club and received 2x Most Improved Swimmer Award and Coach's Pick Award. Gobora spent her first two years of college at Stonehill College in the NEC conference. Gobora holds school records in the 100 IM, 200 IM, 400 IM, 100 Backstroke, 200 Backstroke, 200 Freestyle Relay, 800 Freestyle Relay, 200 Medley Relay & 400 Medley Relay and received 2x NEC Shovel Swimmer of the Week Honor along with 3x NE-10 Weekly Honor Roll.

Personal: Gobora is the 1st child to play D1 and D2 collegiately and was the Team Captain of Sarasota High School Swim Team (Senior Year) and received 4 Letters for Varsity Swimming. Gobora is the daughter of Nicholas and Kara Gobora. Nicholas Gobora played college football at Kent State University and now is a Senior Sales Executive. Gobora has four siblings two sisters and two brothers. Gobora’s oldest sister is Ana who is 28 years old followed by her brother Nicholas 27 years old. Gobroa’s younger sister is Nika who is seven years old followed by her brother Sava who is four years old.
