CARY, N.C. – The Converse University swim teams are both currently in fourth place after the first six events at the Conference Carolinas Swimming and Diving Championships.
Julia Beebe (Charleston, S.C.) started off the day with a fifth place finish in the women's 1,000 yard freestyle event. The senior made the podium once again in her career with a time of 10:47.75.
Kaitlin Williams finished 12
th overall in the event with a time of 11:23.22.
Micah Lesley finished eighth in the men's 1,000 yard freestyle event with a time of 10:06.94.
Henry Winstead finished second on the team and 13
th overall with a time of 10:52.96 in the event.
The women's 200 yard relay team of Milly Byrne,
Ember Hill,
Ansley Young, and
Sofiya Gobora finished fifth overall and posted a total time of 1:49.81. The men's 200 yard relay team of
Joey Lilley,
Tyler Leal,
Louis Milczynski, and
Keith Rogers finished second in the event with a school record time of 1:32.65.
The women's 800 yard relay team of
Alison Ludeman, Katie Beebe, Milly Byrne, and
Julia Beebe finished fourth overall and posted a school record time of 7:46.33. The men's 800 yard relay team of
Daniel Merzthal,
Keith Rogers,
Micah Lesley, and
Henry Stockton finished fifth in the event with a total time of 6:59.06.
