SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Converse University swim teams demolished Lees-McRae on Tuesday evening inside the Montgomery Student Center.
 
The women's team defeated Lees-McRae 146-33 and on the men's side, the Valkyries defeated the Bobcats 117-51.
 
The 400 Medley Relay teams started off the event on a high note for the Valkyries as both genders finished first and second in their respective heat. The Women's A team relay finished with a total time of 4:11.98, while the men's A relay team finished with a time of 3:50.73.
 
The Valkyrie swim teams concluded the night with wins in the 200 free relay events. The women's A team finished with a total time of 1:43.41, while the men's B team clocked a time of 1:31.70.   
 
Women's Notes:

• Mayle Iwanski and Ansley Young finished first and second in the 200 free event for the Valkyries. Iwanski finished with a time of 2:05.94 in the event, while Young clocked a time of 2:06.01. Marie Durflinger finished fourth in the race with a time of 2:24.18.
• In the 1,000 free event, Kaitlin Williams finished third with a time of 12:20.38, and Jessica Kochert finished fourth with a time of 12:51.27.
• In the 50 free event, the Valkyries swept the podium with Katie Beebe, Sofiya Gobora and Ember Hill. Beebe clocked a time of 25.27 seconds, Gobora finished close behind with a time of 26.27 seconds, and Hill etched a time of 28.37 seconds.
• The Valkyries swept the 400 IM event, with Julia Beebe leading the way with a time of 4:49.24. Milly Byrne finished second in the event with a time of 4:54.69, Katie Mullen finished third with a time of 5:10.76, and Kate Hollingsworth finished fourth with a time of 5:14.72.
• In the 200 fly event, Katie Beebe won with a total time of 2:21.03.
• In the 100 free event, the Valkyries once again swept the top four spots in the event. Alison Ludeman won the event with a time of 53.31 seconds, Young finished second with a time of 58.55 seconds, Laureen Roussel finished third with a time of 59.62 seconds, and Katie Mullen finished fourth with a time of 1:00.33. Marie Durflinger finished sixth overall in the event with a time of 1:07.07.
• Milly Byrne won the 200 back event with a time of 2:14.24, Gobora finished second with a time of 2:18.18, and Kaitlin Williams finished fourth with a time of 2:34.49.
• Julia Beebe won the 500 free event with a time of 5:24.63, and Jess Kochert finished third in the event with a time of 6:21.84.
• Roussel won the 200 breast event with a time of 2:35.56, and Ember Hill finished second in the event with a time of 2:41.36.

Men's Notes:  

• Henry Stockton won the 200 free event with a time of 1:45.50, Micah Lesley finished third in the event with a time of 1:49.65. Keith Rogers finished fourth in the event and Jaxon Tschikof rounded out the event with a fifth place finish.
• Alexander Kuznetsov won the 50 free event with a time of 22.35 seconds and Manny Schlichtmann finished third with a mark of 27.47 seconds.
• In the 400 IM event, Luigi Ballivian finished third with a time of 4:33.35,  Kir Lyzhin finished fourth with a time of 4:43.09, and Davis Dial placed fifth with a time of 4:49.06.
• The Valkyries swept the 200 fly event, Louis Milczynski won with a time of 2:01.42, Micah Lesley finished second with a time of 2:07.68, and Ryan Hunt finished third with a time of 2:09.31.
• In the 100 free event, Tyler Leal won with a time of 49.55 seconds, while Keith Rogers finished second with a mark of 50.15 seconds.
• In the 200 back event, Ballivian finished third in the event with a time of 2:10.75, and Kuznetsov finished fourth with a time of 2:11.34.
• Stockton won the 500 free event with a time of 4:49.83, Davis Dial finished third with a time of 5:13.38, and Henry Winstead finished fourth with a mark of 5:25.95.
• In the 200 breast stroke event, Milczynski finished second with a time of 2:16.68, Tschikof finished third with a time of 2:30.42, Schlichtmann finishes fourth overall, and Lyzhin finished fifth overall in the event.
