SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Converse University swim teams open up the 2025-2026 swim season tomorrow night against Lenoir-Rhyne at the Montgomery Student Center.
Last season, the women's swim team finished 6-3 overall and 3-0 in Conference Carolinas matchups. The Valkyries finished the season with a perfect 3-0 record at home with wins over Lees-McRae, King and Lenoir-Rhyne.
This season the women's swim team was picked to finish fourth in the Conference Carolinas preseason poll. The Valkyries finished ahead of Barton, King and Chowan in the poll this season.
Alison Ludeman,
Ember Hill and
Kayla Smith were all named swimmers to watch at the start of the preseason by the Conference office.
Last season, the men's swim team finished 4-4 overall last season and 2-2 in Conference Carolinas action. The men's swim team picked up conference wins over Lees-McRae and King a season ago.
This season the men's swim team was picked to finish second in the Conference Carolinas preseason poll. The Valkyries finished right behind Emmanuel in the poll who had 25 total points and five first place votes.
The reigning Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year
Henry Stockton was named a preseason player to watch by the conference office. Joining Stockton on the preseason watch list was
Louis Milczynski and
Joey Lilley.
The Purple Reign meet against Lenoir-Rhyne will start at 5:00 p.m. tomorrow evening.
