General Game Notes:

Due to weather in Greeneville, the first game of the doubleheader has been moved to 12:30 P.M. Game two will follow shortly after.
The games will be available for streaming via FloSports due the South Atlantic Conference's agreement with the streaming service. A paid subscription is required.

Converse Notes:

Converse enters Thursday after most recently having taken both games of their Friday twinbill against Shaw and Lincoln (Pa.). The Valkyries defeated Shaw 9-0 in five innings and Lincoln 11-1 in six innings.
Junior Riley Lingerfelt earned NFCA National Pitcher of the Week honors for three appearances in the circle last week. She posted two complete-game wins and a save. She pitched a 13-strikeout perfect game against Shaw, the first in program history. She has the fifth-most strikeouts in Division II.
Junior Sydney Watson leads the Valkyries at the plate with team leads in batting average (.510), slugging percentage (.816), RBI (19), total bases (40) and home runs (3). Her team-leading three home runs ties last season's leader after just 14 games.
Two Valkyries have had over 10 chances in the field and have posted a 1.000 fielding percentage so far this season: sophomore Victoria Dichio and freshman Madison Sheadel. Senior Madeline Modica has had the most chances in the field at 82 and has posted a fielding percentage of .951.

Tusculum Notes:

The Pioneers enter the after splitting their final day at the Cougar-Hurricane Classic. They Point University 20-1 in five innings but fell to the hosts, Georgia Southwestern, by a final score of 8-0 in five innings.
Tusculum was selected to finish 10th in the South Atlantic Conference preseason poll.
Three Pioneers were selected preseason All-SAC: senior outfielder Claire Smeltzer, sophomore catcher Sammy Jimenez and senior left-handed pitcher Emily Sappington. All were third-team selections.
Smeltzer leads the team in batting average and slugging percentage at .436 and .846 respectively. As a team, the Pioneers have a .299 batting average and a .527 slugging percentage. The team has a .933 fielding percentage.
