DANVILLE, KY. – After the opening round of the Speedo Midseason Invite the Converse women's swim team sits in fourth place with 357.5 points, while the Converse men's swim team sits in sixth place with 342 points.
The men's 200-yard freestyle relay team started off the day with a splash for the Valkyries. The team of
Louis Milczynski,
Joey Lilley,
Keith Rogers, and
Henry Stockton finished second with a time of 1:23.39.
Meanwhile, the women's 400-yard medley relay team of Milly Byrne,
Ember Hill,
Ansley Young, and
Julia Beebe closed out the first day of the meet with a third place finish in the event. The quartet clocked a time of 4:01.89 in the event.
The reigning Conference Carolinas Men's Swimmer of the Week,
Henry Stockton picked up a win in the 500 yard freestyle event on day one of the Speedo Midseason Invite. The freshman clocked a time of 4:33.41in the event.
Women's Notes:
- The 200 yard freestyle relay team of Katie Beebe, Sofiya Gobora, Milly Byrne, and Alison Ludeman finished seventh in the event with a time of 1:39.86.
- Julia Beebe finished eighth overall in the 500 yard freestyle event with a time of 5:17.15, while her sister Katie Beebe finished 10th overall with a time of 5:26.97.
- Milly Byrne finished ninth in the 200 yard IM event with a time of 2:15.33.
- In the 50-yard free event, Ludeman finished fifth with a time of 24.61 seconds.
- The 400-yard medley relay team of Byrne, Ember Hill, Ansley Young, and Julia Beebe finished third with a time of 4:01.89.
Men's Notes:
- The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Louis Milczynski, Joey Lilley, Keith Rogers, and Henry Stockton finished second with a time of 1:23.39.
- In the men's 200 yard IM event, Milczynski finished eighth with a time of 1:55.73.
- In the men's 50-yard free event, Lilley and Rogers finished in seventh and eighth place respectively. Lilley finished with a time of 21.24 seconds, while Rogers clocked a time of 21.36 seconds.
- The 400-yard medley relay team of Lilley, Tyler Leal, Milczynski and Stockton finished sixth with a time of 3:29.54.
