KINGSPORT, TENN. – The Converse University swim team is currently in sixth place with 116 points through the first two days of the Conference Carolinas Swimming Championships.
Julia Beebe opened the night with a fifth-place finish in the 500-yard free event. Katie Beebe finished 13
th overall in the same event with a time of 5:25.69. In the women's 200-yard IM event,
Jovana Mitic finished eighth overall with a time of 2:17.22.
The Valkyries 200-yard freestyle relay team made up of Kate Beebe, Milly Byrne,
Jovana Mitic and
Julia Beebe finished seventh overall with a time of 1:41.77. The Valkyries B relay team made up of
Kaitlin Brown,
Noelle Yorgason, Katie Mullen and
Sarah Purinton clocked a time of 1:45.77.
The women's 400 IM event will kickoff the third day of prelims at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. The Valkyries will also compete in the women's 100-yard butterfly prelim, the 200-yard freestyle event and the 100 yard breaststroke event. The prelims will conclude with the 100-yard backstroke event.
