GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Conference Carolinas office announced the 2025-26 women's swimming & diving preseason coaches' poll on Thursday afternoon, Converse University was picked to finish fourth overall.
The Valkyries tallied 22 total points in this year's preseason poll, finishing ahead of Barton, King and Chowan. UNC Pembroke was selected to finish first overall with 34 total points and four first place votes. Emmanuel was predicted to finish second with 31 total points and one first place vote. Montevallo was picked right ahead of the Valkyries with 25 points and two first place votes.
Alison Ludeman (Myrtle Beach, S.C.) was picked as a preseason player to watch after she finished third overall in the 200 free event last season at the Conference Carolinas Championships.
Ember Hill (Salida, Colo.) was also picked as a preseason player to watch for the Valkyries. Hill will be looking to have a break out junior season after being a top performer on the Valkyries team a season ago. Freshman
Kayla Smith (Easton, Md.) is the third Valkyrie picked as a preseason player to watch.
