NORTHBOROUGH, MASS. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced their annual Academic Squads and Academic Honor Roll Athletes.
For the second time this summer,
Samantha Sparks has been honored with an academic award, earlier this year the Empire State native was named to the CSC Academic All-District team. This is the second time in her career that she has been named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll. Sparks leaves Converse as the all-time caused turnovers leader in program history.
As a team the Valkyries were one of 357 schools' nationwide that were named an Academic Honor Squad for the 2025-26 school year. To qualify for this award, the team had to maintain a 3.2 or higher team Grade Point Average (GPA) for the entire academic year.
