SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Converse University Golf Team will be hosting their second tournament of the season on Monday and Tuesday at the Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg, S.C.
The Valkyries have had a great season so far with a runner-up finish at the Upstate Fall Intercollegiate back in the fall and a third place finish at the King Invitational back in September. So far this spring the Valkyries have played in two tournaments loaded with top-25 teams from across the southeast.
Last season, the Valkyries won their Spring Invite with a two round score of 629. Converse finished 36 strokes ahead of their nearest competitor and defeated in conference foes North Greenville, King and Young Harris.
Teams competing at this years tournament are Barton, Emmanuel, Indiana University Kokomo, King, North Greenville, Shorter, Southern Wesleyan and UNC Pembroke. The tournament will start at 9:00 a.m. on Monday morning with tee times starting on both hole #1 and hole #10. Live scoring will be on Leaderboard King.
