SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Converse University Golf Team will play a familiar course this week when they play at the Carolina Country Club for the Conference Carolinas Tournament.
At the Valkyries spring invitational held at the club a month ago, Converse finished third overall behind Emmanuel and Southern Wesleyan. The Valkyries shot rounds of 326 and 321 to finish with a two day score of 647. Ellie Lim finished second overall with a total score of 150 and fellow junior
Kali Lantis finished eighth overall with a total score of 160.
It's been two seasons since the Conference Championships were held at the Carolina Country Club. The last time it was held in Spartanburg, Converse finished third overall, shooting rounds of 322, 320 and 314. Former Valkyrie, Lizzie Madden placed third overall in the tournament, while Lim just finished outside the top-10 with an 11
th place finish.
Kali Lantis is the only other member of the team that competed at the Championships in 2024, where she finished tied for 30
th.
