CORAL SPRINGS, FLA. – The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced their annual list of All-American Scholars, Converse University golfers
Lillian Bowman (Hickory, N.C.) and Ellie Lim (Delaware, Ohio) were both named to this year's list.
"I'm incredibly proud of both Ellie and Lilly for earning WGCA All-American Scholar recognition," Converse University head golf coach
Patti McGowan said. "This honor reflects the discipline, commitment, and time management it takes to excel in the classroom while competing at the collegiate level. At Converse, we believe pursuing excellence extends far beyond the golf course, and these two student-athletes represent that standard exceptionally well."
Bowman competed in nine total tournaments for a total of 23 rounds this season. The freshman averaged an 81.9 stroke average this season and had four top-25 finishes. This is her first time being named to the prestigious list.
Lim competed in 10 tournaments this season, averaging a 77.8 in 24 rounds of action. The junior finished runner-up at both the Converse Spring Invite and at the Upstate Fall Intercollegiate this past season. Lim also had a pair of top-10 finishes at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational and in the King University Invitational. This is the third straight year Lim has been honored by the WGCA.
A total of 1,551 women's collegiate golfers from over 400 programs were recognized with this prestigious honor.
