BOGART, GA. – The Converse University Golf Team finished fifth overall at the second annual Golden Mane Classic at the Jennings Mill Country Club.
 
The Valkyries finished fifth overall with a total score of 1000. Converse shot an opening round scored of 337 and followed it up with a score of 322. In the final round of the three round tournament the Valkyries shot a 341. Converse finished sixth in Par 3 scoring with an average of 3.77, they finished fifth in both Par 4 scoring (4.76) and Par 5 scoring (5.77). The Valkyries finished fifth in team birdies (15) and in team pars (117).
 
Eleanor Lim (Delaware, Ohio) was the top-finisher for the Valkyries with rounds of 84, 76, 78, for a three round total of 238. Lim finished eighth overall and led the team in Par 3 scoring with an average of 3.42. The Ohio native then finished second overall in the tournament in Par 4 scoring with an average of 4.30. Lim finished second on the team in Par 5 scoring with an average of 5.67. Lim finished third overall in the tournament with six total birdies and finished 11^th overall with 26 pars. With this week's third place finish, Lim now moves into a tie with Ansley Vaughan and Allie McCain for the sixth most Top-10 finishes in a career.
 
Kali Lantis (Spearfish, S.D.) posted her second career top-10 finish on Tuesday afternoon with a ninth place finish in the three round event. Lantis posted the lowest score for the team this week with a 75 in the first round of the tournament. The senior also posted rounds of 80 and 87 to finish with a three round total of 242. Lantis finished tied for fourth in Par 4 scoring with an average of 4.40 and led the team in Par 5 scoring with average of 5.42. Lantis also finished 10^th with four birdies and seventh with 28 pars.
 
Lillian Bowman finished third on the team with scores of 86, 86, 89 and finished with a three round total of 261. Bowman finished second on the team in Par 3 scoring with an average of 3.58 Katherine Potts made her collegiate debut with a 29^th place finish and a three round score of 262. Ashley Azzaro finished fifth on the team with a total score of 283 this past week.
