LANDRUM, S.C. – The Converse University Golf Team finished seventh overall at the Glassy Mountain Autumn Classic today.  
 
The Valkyries shot an opening round score of 332 on Monday morning and in the afternoon, they shot a 341. On Tuesday morning the Valkyries had their best round of the tournament, shooting a 327. Converse finished with a three day total of 1,000. Converse finished seventh overall, placing ahead of UNC Pembroke, Mount Olive, Emmanuel, Young Harris, Coker, SWU, King and Savannah State. Lander won the tournament by nearly 30 strokes, finishing ahead of Belmont Abbey and Catawba.   
 
As a team Converse averaged a 3.67 on Par 3 holes, a 4.77 average on Par 4 holes and a 5.58 average on Par 5 holes. The Valkyries made par on 112 holes this tournament and birdied seven holes over the two day event.
 
Eleanor Lim (Delaware, Ohio) finished first on the team and 16^th overall in the tournament. Lim recorded an opening round score of 84, then followed it up with rounds of 79 and 77. The senior finished with a three total of 240. Lim also led the team in Par 3 scoring with a 3.50 average, Par 4 scoring with a 4.53 average and Par 5 scoring with a 5.17 average. Lim also led the team with 27 pars and a trio of birdies.
 
Katherine Potts (Chattanooga, Tenn.) finished second on the team and 40^th overall in the event. Potts had the best individual score in the opening round for the Valkyries after she carded an 81. The freshman went on to rounds of 88 and 86 to finish with a three round total of 255. Potts finished third on the team with a 3.67 scoring average on Par 3 holes, second on the team with a 4.70 scoring average on Par 4 holes and second on the team in total holes pared with 23.
 
Kali Lantis (Spearfish, S.D.) finished third on the team and 43^rd overall in the three round tournament. Lantis carded rounds of 83, 90, 83 to finish with a tournament total of 256. The senior finished second on the team in Par 3 scoring with an average of 3.58 and finished third on the team in Par 4 scoring with an average of 4.73.
 
Lillian Bowman (Hickory, N.C.) finished fourth on the team and 49^th overall in the tournament. Bowman finished with a three round total of 258 and carded a tournament low round of 81. Madison Cook (McLeansville, N.C.) finished fifth on the team and 57^th overall in the tournament with a score of 262.
