The Series
This will be the third all-time meeting between Converse and Lee dating back to the 2020 lacrosse season. Lee has won all three matchups, including last year's meeting in Spartanburg. This will be the first time the Valkyries have made the trip over to Cleveland, Tenn., to play the Flames.  
 
Converse Notes

• Converse went 4-11 overall last season and 3-4 in Conference Carolinas play. The Valkyries had five losses last season by two goals or less.
• In the Conference Carolinas Preseason Coaches Poll, the Valkyries were picked to finish seventh overall in the conference.
• Hailey Obenchain, Becky Reinhard and Sammy Sparks were all picked to be preseason players to watch by the Conference.
• Obenchain is one of the top returning players in the southeast region, the senior is a three-time Conference Carolinas All-Conference selection. Last season, Obenchain led the team with 56 goals, 39 assist and 95 points. The senior finished with 80 draw control wins last season which ranks second in program history. Entering her final season with the Valkyries, Obenchain has 127 career goals, 141 assists and 268 career points.
• Sparks is a two-time All-Conference selection, last season she appeared and started in all 15 games for the Valkyries back line. Sparks led the team with 33 ground balls and 27 caused turnovers.
• Reinhard was a Second Team All-Conference selection a season ago. The junior finished second on the team with 52 goals and 57 total points. Entering her third season for the Valkyries, Reinhard has 112 career goals which ranks third all-time in program history.
• Also returning for the Valkyries offensively are Zoey Jacobs, Karter Lauer and Megan Holleran. The trio combined to score 39 goals and record 39 assists for the Valkyries offense.  
• Abigail Skee will be the Valkyries goalie for the upcoming season, the sophomore made six appearances last season in the net and made 31 total saves on the year.
• Helping Skee and Sparks out on the defensive side of the ball will be upperclassmen Ainsley Cua, Ava Andrews and Alyssa Corder.  

Lee Notes

• Lee went 5-12 overall last season and 1-3 in Gulf South Conference play. The Flames lost their final three games of the 2025 season.
• The Flames were tied with Montevallo in the Gulf South Conference preseason poll and were picked to finish fourth.
• Noelle Harrington and Savannah Weisman both received preseason Player to Watch accolades from the conference. Harrington was a Second Team All-GSC performer a year ago, while Weisman led the GSC in saves.
• Hannah Vecsey led the team with 58 points, 32 goals and 26 assists last season. Callie Curtis had a team high 68 shots and Hannah Nee led the team with 16 caused turnovers.
• Kylee Kangas led the team with 65 draw controls on the season, while Weisman also led the team with 39 ground balls.
