SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Due to a second wave of winter weather expected to hit upstate South Carolina early Friday evening, several Converse Athletics programs have altered their plans for this upcoming weekend.

• As previously announced the Valkyrie Classic softball tournament will only be contested on Friday, Jan. 30 starting at noon at Tyger River Park in Duncan. Saturday and Sunday are canceled.
• Additionally, the Sunday, Feb. 1 softball doubleheader with Lynn scheduled for 12:30 P.M. has been canceled.
• The basketball doubleheader with Chowan has been moved up to 11 A.M. and 1 P.M. tipoffs. The women will play first with the men to follow.
• The track & field teams will no longer head to Louisville, Kentucky for the Lenny Lyles Invitational. They will instead head to Tryon, North Carolina for the ECE Banked is Best Meet on Friday, Jan. 30 at Tryon International.
