Men’s 4x100 Meter Relay Earns All-American Honors From USTFCCCA

NEW ORLEANS – With the entirety of the 2025 outdoor track season in the rear view mirror, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association has announced their 2025 All-American honorees. The Converse University men's 4x100 meter relay team, the first national qualifiers in program history, earned Second-Team All-American honors.

The Valkyries' quartet of sophomore Dorian Bomar, graduate student Zephaniah Cox Jr., junior Devron Davis and senior Gavin McFadden posted their fastest time of the season in the preliminary round at the Division II National Championship Meet. They won their heat and were the third-fastest team in the opening round, sending them to the championship race.

The tetrad first ran the event together at the Florida Relays on April 5 and immediately set both (at the time) school and conference records with a time of 39.85. At the time of the meet, the Valkyries were tied for first nationally in the event.
