GREENVILLE, S.C.  – For the second time this season and third in his career, senior Devron Davis has been named the Conference Carolinas Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week. He won both the 100-meter dash and the 200 meters at the Southside Power and Fitness Invitational this past weekend. He also anchored the 4x100-meter relay team to gold in Hickory.

Davis ran a time of 20.77 in the 200 meters, ranking him first in Conference Carolinas, second in the southeast region and sixth nationally in the event.

Davis also ran a time of 10.31 in the 100-meter dash, ranking him second in Conference Carolinas this season. That time also ranks him sixth in the southeast region and tied for 13th nationally.

He also anchored the 4x100-meter relay team that won the event this past weekend. They rank first in the conference, second in the region and seventh nationally via a time achieved earlier in the season.

With the regular season complete, the Valkyries are back in action starting on Thursday, April 23, as they head to Myrtle Beach for the Conference Carolinas Outdoor Championships.
