EMPORIA, Kan. – With the second-fastest time in the 200 meters of his collegiate career, senior Devron Davis placed second in his heat of the event and qualified for tomorrow's national championship race.

Davis recorded a time of 20.80 from lane eight, putting him into Saturday's national championship race at 7:10 P.M. Eastern.

The Valkyries will also compete in three other events tomorrow. Junior Kamille Cunningham will kick things off tomorrow with the high jump at 4:15 P.M. Eastern. The men's 4x100-meter relay team of junior Dorian Bomar, Devron Davis, sophomore Xavier Dixon and senior Isaac Gilmore will then compete at 4:30 P.M. Eastern. Freshman Grace Davis will then compete for her first career outdoor individual championship at 6:05 P.M. Eastern in the 100-meter dash. Devron Davis rounds out the night with the 200 meters.
