PUEBLO, Colo. – For the first time in program history, the Converse track & field season ended at the final collegiate track meet of the season: the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships. The student-athletes became the first track athletes to compete at the national championship meet in Converse history.

On the men's side, the quartet of sophomore Dorian Bomar, graduate student Zephaniah Cox Jr., junior Devron Davis and senior Gavin McFadden won heat one of Thursday's preliminary rounds with a time of 39.64 in the 4x100 meter relay, their best time of the season. They posted the third-fastest time in the preliminary rounds. They did not finish in Saturday's championship race.

On the women's side, senior Eseose Okoduwa competed in Thursday's 100 meter dash preliminary rounds. She became the second female athlete in school history to qualify for outdoor nationals but the first to compete at the event. She finished the race with a time of 11.59, missing the cutoff for Saturday's championship race.

Okoduwa and the men's 4x100 meter relay team were the Conference Carolinas champions in the events they competed in at the national championship meet.
