Kharb Earns First Team All-Conference Honors For Second Time In As Many Years

GREENVILLE, S.C. - Behind the best individual season in recent Converse tennis history, junior Khushi Kharb has been named first team all-conference for the second time in her career. It is the third all-conference award of her career.

Kharb becomes the first Valkyrie tabbed as a two-time first team all-conference honoree. At the end of the 2023-24 season, Kharb joined former Valkyrie Pauline Hagen as the program's only first team honorees since Converse joined Conference Carolinas during the 2008-09 academic year.

The Sonipat, Haryana, India native anchored the Valkyries single lineup at No. 1 this season, boasting a 14-3 record and playing all 17 of her matches on the highest court. Kharb posted an impressive 7-2 conference record that saw her win six of her final seven conference singles matches.

Kharb and doubles partner Lais Martins also saw success during doubles competition. The pair went 4-4 while playing all of their matches at No. 1 doubles.

She earned Conference Carolinas Player of the Week honors on March 19. That week she won at No. 1 singles against Lander and Benedict.

Kharb and the Valkyries are back on the court today, April 24, as they take on No. 5 Belmont Abbey in the Conference Carolinas Women's Tennis Championship in Sumter. The match is set to begin at 2 P.M.
