Freshman pitcher Hailey King was named the Conference Carolinas Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday. In the circle, King delivered an outstanding week after posting a 2-0 record with one save while boasting a stellar 1.87 ERA in 15.0 innings pitched. In three appearances, she tallied two complete games with six strikeouts while holding the opponent to a .222 batting average.
Mount Olive was selected seventh in the Conference Carolinas preseason poll. They are currently second in the east division behind nationally-ranked No. 4 Francis Marion
