GREENVILLE, S.C.  – Powered by strong play at both the top singles and doubles courts, junior Khushi Kharb earned Conference Carolinas Women's Tennis Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Wednesday.

Kharb becomes the second consecutive Valkyrie honored with the award, joining her doubles partner Lais Martins who earned the award last week.

The junior from Sonipat, Haryana, India won three matches last week, two singles matches and one doubles match.

Against Benedict last week, she swept her matches, taking a 6-0 victory at No. 1 doubles with Martins and winning 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 singles. In a regional match against Lander, she won 6-2 in consecutive sets, again playing at the top flight.

Next Up For Converse:
Kharb and the Valkyries are back in action on Friday and Saturday as they host Chowan and Barton. Matches on both days start at 2 P.M.
