  • The Valkyries enter the midweek matchup sweeping their first Conference Carolinas doubleheader of the season against Belmont Abbey.
  • Senior pitcher Riley Lingerfelt has a 6-5 record this season. She has made 12 starts and 15 appearances, throwing nine complete games and two shutouts, both solo. In 75.0 innings pitched, she has struckout 109 batters, ranking her fifth nationally in strikeouts.
  • Twenty-twenty-four Conference Carolinas second team all-conference selection Sydney Watson leads the Valkyries in batting average (.411) and slugging percentage (.575).
  • Sophomore corner infielder Kiarra Thomas hit the walk-off home run in the Valkyries first victory over Belmont Abbey. She is hitting .259 this season and is tied for the team lead in home runs.
 
Mars Hill Notes:
  • The Lions enter the doubleheader after most recently splitting a doubleheader with Limestone on Tuesday, March 18.
  • Junior catcher Maia Sholter leads the team offensively with a .309 batting average. She also has team-highs in on-base percentage, .461, and slugging percentage, .632.
  • Freshman pitcher Téa Cornett leads the team in the circle, she has pitched 103.1 of the team's 172 innings this season. She has a 9-6 record.
  • Mars Hill was selected last in the SAC preseason poll.

North Greenville Notes:
  • North Greenville enters the weekend 17-11 and 4-4 in Conference Carolinas play after splitting a Tuesday, March 18 doubleheader with divisional-foe Belmont Abbey.
  • The Trailblazers have played five common opponents as the Valkyries and are 6-4 against those teams.
  • Sophomore shortstop Emily Blackwell leads the team offensively with a .517 batting average. She has the second-highest slugging percentage on the team at .652.
  • North Greenville was selected to finish second in the Conference Carolinas preseason poll. They received two first-place votes.

Lees-McRae Notes:
  • The Bobcats enter the weekend after most recently dropping a doubleheader to divisional-foe King on Tuesday, March 18. That pushed their current losing streak to four games.
  • Among qualified hitters, freshman Abby Hatley leads the team offensively with a .373 batting average. Sophomore Allie Johnston leads the team in slugging percentage with a .519 mark.
  • Junior Hayley Lawing has three of the team's six wins in the circle this season. She leads the team with 64.1 innings pitched and 26 strikeouts.
  • Lees-McRae was selected 11th in the Conference Carolinas preseason poll.
