GREENVILLE, S.C. – For the first time in the 2025 outdoor track season, a Converse Valkyrie has won Conference Carolinas Track Athlete of the Week. Sophomore Alain Flores earned the honor with a strong showing at the Phoenix Invitational.

Flores won the 1,500 meters at the Friday, March 14 meet hosted by Elon University. He set a new school record in the event with a time 3:59.23, nearly six seconds better than the previous school record.
