Box Score GREENWOOD, S.C.  – In their final nonconference matchup of the season, the Converse University women's tennis team (5-6, 0-2 Conference Carolinas) fell 5-2 to the Lander Bearcats (7-4) Saturday afternoon at the Joe Cabri Tennis Center on the campus of Lander University.

Lander secured the doubles point and the first two singles matches finished, putting them one point from securing the match. Junior Khushi Kharb won 6-2 in consecutive sets at No. 1 singles to hold off the Bearcats a little longer.

Freshman Romy Rueff won 6-2, 6-4 at No. 4 singles to give the Valkyries their second and final point of the day.

Next Up For Converse:
The Valkyries are back in action on Tuesday, March 18 as they host the Emmanuel University Lions at the Rose. The match is set to begin at 2 P.M.
