NEW ORLEANS – With the conclusion of the 2024-25 Indoor track and field season, five members of the 2025 Indoor Champion Converse University men's track and field team were honored as U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Southeast region all-region honorees.

Those athletes are: sophomore Omarion Belton, graduate student Zephaniah Cox Jr., junior Kaden Gamble, senior Gavin McFadden and freshman Dre'Kevan Thomas.

Belton, a sophomore from Columbia, South Carolina, earned all-region honors in the long jump. He recorded a season-best of 7.34 meters at the VMI Invitational on Jan. 24. His best distance places him second in the southeast region.

Cox Jr., a graduate student from Memphis, Tennessee, earned all-region honors in the 60 meter dash. He recorded a season-best time of 6.71 seconds at Camel City Sprints on Feb. 7. His time is the fifth-fastest time in the southeast region and the second-fastest in Conference Carolinas.

Gamble, a junior from Moncks Corner, South Carolina, also earned all-region honors in the long jump. His season-best also came at the VMI Invitational where he posted a distance of 7.24 meters. That places him third in the southeast region.

McFadden, a senior from Rock Hill, South Carolina, earned all-region honors in the 200 meters. He ran a season-best time of 21.31 seconds at the 2025 Conference Carolinas Indoor Championships. This time places him third in the southeast region and second in Conference Carolinas.

Thomas, a freshman from McCormick, South Carolina, earned all-region honors in the 60 meter hurdles. He ran a season-best 8.10 at the 2025 Conference Carolinas Indoor Championships, the fourth-fastest time in the event in the southeast region and the second-fastest
