Converse Notes:
  • The Valkyries enter the midweek matchup after having nine days off. In their last matchup, Converse defeated UVA Wise 5-2 in Johnson City, Tennessee.
  • Senior pitcher Riley Lingerfelt received the team's only win in the circle at the Big Reigon Preseason Invitational. In two appearances, she tossed 13 innings and allowed eight runs.
  • Twenty-twenty-four Conference Carolinas second team all-conference selection Sydney Watson leads the Valkyries in batting average (.450) and slugging percentage (.575).
  • Junior transfer outfielder Aubree Leonard leads the team in home runs.
 
Anderson Notes:
  • Anderson comes to the Hub City on the second half of a back-to-back. They squared off with UNC Pembroke in Anderson on Monday, Feb. 17. The Trojans won both games.
  • The Trojans are 4-4 this season against Conference Carolinas, taking both games of their doubleheaders against Emmanuel and UNC Pembroke but dropping doubleheaders to North Greenville and Southern Wesleyan.
  • Junior Katie Morris leads the team in ERA among qualified pitchers. In 25 innings pitched, she has a 3.96 ERA and a 3-2 record in the circle.
  • Junior outfielder Shelby Bandt leads the Trojans in batting average with a .414 average and is third on the team in slugging percentage at .483.
