GREENVILLE, S.C. – Sophomore track and field athlete Omarion Belton was honored as the Conference Carolinas Field Athlete of the Week following a stellar performance at the VMI Invitational this past weekend.

Belton finished first at the meet in the long jump with a distance of 7.34 meters and hit an NCAA provisional mark. He is currently tied for 18th with the longest distance of the season. Belton also finished 10th in the triple jump, fifth amongst Division II athletes.

Belton and the entire Converse track and field teams will be back in action this weekend as they head to Salem, Va. to compete in the Bast-Cregger Invitational hosted by Roanoke University.
