Track & Field Preview: Valkyries Prepare for Conference Carolinas Outdoor Championship Meet

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Converse University track & field team is gearing up for the Conference Carolinas Outdoor Championships this weekend down in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Last season, the Women's Outdoor Track & Field team posted their best finish ever at the championship meet, with a runner-up finish. This season the Valkyries Track & Field and Cross Country programs have already won a pair of titles. In the fall, the women's cross country team won their first ever championship, and in the winter the Indoor track & field followed with a championship of their own.

On the men's side, the Valkyries will be looking to build off their highest finish ever at the Indoor Track & Field championships. Back in February the Valkyries placed seventh overall at the championship meet, following a 10th place finish at the Outdoor Championships a season ago.
