Converse Sets Multiple Records on Day 2 of 49er Classic

Converse Women's and Men's Track and Field Relay teams finished 4th, 6th, and 7th.

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Converse University Men's and Women's Track teams finished strong on day two at the 49ers Challenge.

Womens Notes:

In the 200m, Jermyra Bethel, Quiana Suber, Madison Griffin, and Nashayla Warren finished 35th (25.98), 56th (26.54), 64th (26.87), and 77th (27.51) respectively. Bethel and Warren's time is their personal best.
In the 3000m, Paisley Stepp finished 14th (11:43.44).
In the 4x800m Relay Converse's team finished 4th (9:33.63) and set a new school record. In the 4x400 Relay Converse's team finished 7th (4:00.27).
In the Triple Jump, Janyia Pickney finished 12th (10.77m)(PB). In the High Jump Group A Kamille Cunningham finished 14th (1.60m). In the High Jump Group B Finals D'Asia Thomas finished 4th (1.52m)(PB).

Mens Notes:

In the 800m, DreQuan Guyton, Nathan Lucy, and Zackery Carver finished 44th (2:00.28), 59th (2:03.85)(PB), and 69th (2:05.97)(PB).
In the 3000m, Kirby and John Garcia finished 33rd (9:53.30)(PB) and 41st (10:39.63).
In the 4x400m Relay, Converse's team finished 6th (3:19.65) and set a new school record.
In the Hammer Finals, Aubrey Hemphill finished 37th (37.40m). In the Triple Jump, Omarion Belton finished 21st (12.89m).
