Women’s Tennis Squares Off With Limestone on Thursday

Converse Notes:

Converse last competed on Saturday, Feb. 17 in a doubleheader against USC Sumter and Coker. The Valkyries defeated USC Sumter 7-0 but fell narrowly to the Cobras 4-3.
Two Valkyries won default singles victories while the Valkyries swept singles play on the four other courts against USC Sumter. They also swept the doubles point, taking one court by default.
The Valkyries took singles victories at No. 2, No. 3 and No. 5 singles. Those matches were won by graduate student Tonya Glogowski-Watson, sophomore Sofia Giraldo-Jimenez and sophomore Lais Martins respectively.

Limestone Notes:

The Saints enter the match after a 6-1 rout of Mount Olive on Saturday, Feb. 17.
Limestone swept the doubles point against the Trojans and singles courts No. 2-6. Mount Olive's lone victory of the day was at No. 1 singles 6-4, 6-2.
Three Saints have split matches at No. 1 singles and all are yet to win at the position. They have 4-1 team records at No. 3, 4 and 5 singles.
Limestone has posted a winning record at all three doubles positions.
