The Valkyries fell 4-3 to the Coker Cobras (3-1) in their second match of the day.

Match One: Converse 7, USC Sumter 0

Only having four members of their team to compete, the Fire Ants forfeited No. 3 doubles automatically. Again with only four team members to participate, sophomore Anna Trace and junior Brooke Benefield received victories due to forfeit at No. 5 and No. 6.

Only needing one more victory to secure the match, sophomore Lais Martins rolled to a two-set sweep at No. 3 singles, securing the match. Giraldo-Jimenez continued the winning ways with a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 2 singles.

Glogowski-Watson, competing at her second match at No. 1 singles this season, dominated her opponent and won in two sets 6-1, 6-2.

The Valkyries final win of the match came at No. 4 singles as junior Rebekka Braziel recorded a two-set, 6-4, 6-2 victory, her first of the season, to complete the sweep.

Match Two: Coker 4, Converse 3

Kharb and White again kicked off play with a win at No. 2, taking the set 6-3. The Valkyries fell at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles, losing the point.

Glogowski-Watson kicked off singles with a 7-6 (4), 7-5, two-set victory at No. 2 singles.

Giraldo-Jimenez followed with a 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 3 singles. But even with Martins winning a three-set decision, 5-7, 6-4, 6-2, the Valkyries lost three singles courts and fell 4-3.
