GREENVILLE, S.C. – After running a school-record 6.79 in the 60 meter finals at Saturday's Winston-Salem College Kick-off, sophomore Dorian Bomar was named the Conference Carolinas Men's Track Athlete of the Week. His time hits an NCAA provisional time.

In the preliminary rounds of the 60 meter he ran a 6.84, the fastest time at the meet. It is also the fastest time of the season thus far for any Conference Carolinas athlete. In the 200 meter seeded, Bomar ran a 2.22, the fourth fastest time at the meet and the third fastest time among Division II runners.

The Converse University track & field team is back in action following the winter holidays on Jan. 24 and 25 at the VMI Invitational.
