NEW ORLEANS– In the preseason NCAA DII Women's Cross Country Regional Rankings, Converse University's women's cross country team placed eighth. Coming in first is Wingate followed closely by Catawba.
 

In third, fourth, and fifth place respectively are Anderson, Flagler, and Lenoir-Rhyne. In sixth and seventh it's North Georgia and Augusta. In ninth and tenth it's King and UNC-Pembroke.

The ranked number eight Valkyries will be competing this Friday at 6 pm at the USC- Upstate eye opener.
