The Series
This will be the 17th all-time meeting between Converse and Belmont Abbey dating back to the 2009 season. The Crusaders are 16-0 all-time against the Valkyries and 9-0 on their home field. Last season, Belmont Abbey defeated Converse 25-1 at Weisiger Stadium.   
 
Converse Notes
  • Converse is 8-7 overall this season and 4-3 in Conference Carolinas action. The Valkyries are coming off a 15-10 loss to Barton on Saturday afternoon.  
  • Karter Lauer led the team with a hat trick, while Hailey Obenchain led the team with a trio of assists in the loss.
  • Converse is averaging 13.5 goals per game this season, 7.4 assists per game, 30.0 shots per game and 23.9 shots on goal per game this year.
  • The Valkyries have scored 33 free position goals this season, have recorded 279 ground balls, forced 168 turnovers, won 240 draw controls and have posted a .771 clear percentage.
  • Everette currently leads the team in goals scored (46), total shots (108) and shots on goal (91). Schaeffer is second on the team with 36 goals and Obenchain is third on the team with 28 goals.  
  • Obenchain is currently ranked fifth nationally and leads both the conference and the team with 48 assists on the season. The freshman also leads the team with 76 points on the year.
  • Ryleigh Schaeffer and Gencie Coan currently lead the team with 34 ground balls on the season, while Schaeffer leads the team with 25 caused turnovers. Karter Lauer leads the team with 63 draw controls on the season.
  • Reagan Collins has started 14 straight games for the Valkyries in net. The sophomore is currently 8-6 on the season and has made 129 total saves.
 
Belmont Abbey Notes
  • Belmont Abbey is 9-6 overall and 6-1 in Conference Carolinas play this season. The Crusaders are 5-4 at home this season and have won two straight games.
  • Belmont Abbey is coming off a 26-3 win over Chowan on Saturday afternoon. Riley D'Andrea led the team with 4 goals, while Angela Bagatta, Sophia Browning, and Hailey Carroll each posted a hat trick in the win. Carroll also led the team with four assists against the Hawks.
  • The Crusaders are averaging 16.6 goals per game this season, 6.8 assists per game, 32.1 shots per game and a total of 122 shots on goal this season.
  • Belmont Abbey has recorded 313 ground balls, forced 134 turnovers, won 236 draw controls and they posted a .761 clear percentage against opponents.
  • D'Andrea and Olivia Carlino each have 57 goals this season for the Crusaders. D'Andrea leads the team in assists (30), points (87) and free position goals (20).
  • Michelle Guppy leads the team with 33 ground balls, Kacey Kubarewicz leads the team with 15 caused turnovers and Emma Pherson leads the team with 55 draw controls. Summer Eddinger leads the team in goal this season with 70 saves on 194 shot attempts.
