The Series
This will be the 15^th meeting between Converse and Lees-McRae dating back to the 2009 season. The two programs are tied in the overall series with seven wins each, however, the Bobcats have won the last two meetings against the Valkyries. A win on Saturday would give the Valkyries their first home win against the Bobcats since the 2019 season. Converse is averaging 11.36 goals per game against Lees-McRae since the rivalry began.
 
Converse Notes

• Converse is 6-5 overall this season and 2-1 in Conference Carolinas action. The Valkyries are coming off a 21-7 win over Erskine on Tuesday evening.   
• Ryleigh Schaeffer led the Valkyries with six goals against the Flying Fleet, while Gencie Coan finished second on the team with five goals and Hailey Obenchain finished third on the team with four goals. Brenna Everette led the team with five assists, while Obenchain finished second on the team with three assists. Reagan Collins picked up the win and recorded 10 saves against Erskine.
• Converse is averaging 12.9 goals per game this season, 7.0 assists per game, 27.9 shots per game and 22.1 shots on goal per game this year.
• The Valkyries have scored 24 free position goals this season, have recorded 168 ground balls, forced 106 turnovers, won 181 draw controls and have posted a .768 clear percentage.
• Everette currently leads the team in goals scored (30), total shots (70) and shots on goal (64). Schaeffer is second on the team with 24 goals and Obenchain is third on the team with 20 goals.   
• Obenchain is currently ranked fifth nationally and leads both the conference and the team with 31 assists on the season. Obenchain's 31 assists set a new program record for assists in a single season. The freshman also leads the team with 51 points on the year.
• Coan and Schaeffer are tied for the team lead in ground balls with 23 each, while Schaeffer leads the team with 21 caused turnovers. Karter Lauer leads the team with 46 draw control wins.
• Reagan Collins has started 10 straight games for the Valkyries in net. The sophomore is currently 6-4 on the season and has made 91 total saves.

 
Lees-McRae Notes

• Lees-McRae is 2-5 overall and 2-3 in Conference Carolinas play this season. The Bobcats are 1-4 at home and 1-1 in road matches this season.
• The Bobcats are coming off a 20-9 win over Erskine on Saturday afternoon. Shannan Korovich led the team with six goals against the Flying Fleet, while Nim Castro finished second on the team with five goals.
• Lees-McRae is averaging 6.7 goals per game this season, 1.8 assists per game, 15.6 shots per game and 11.0 shots on goal per game.
• The Bobcats have accumulated 118 ground balls, forced 61 turnovers, won 84 draw controls and have a .563 clear percentage.
• Korovich leads the team in goals scored (11), assists (4) and points (15). Haley Donovan and Genesis Lutsky are both second on the team with nine goals each. Donovan leads the team with 48 draw control wins, 15 caused turnovers and 17 ground balls.
• Aviva Beringhause and Mckenzie Mellen have both spent time in goal for the Bobcats this season. Beringhause is 2-2 on the season and leads the team with 57 saves.
