The Series
These will be the 9^th and 10^th games between Converse and Tusculum and just the 5^th and 6^th games between the Valkyries and the Hawks. The Pioneers hold an 8-0 series advantage over the Valkyries, defeating Converse 4-1 and 11-3 in last season's series. Chowan is 3-1 all-time against Converse, sweeping the 2022 series 8-0 in both games. The Valkyries defeated the Hawks 7-4 in game two of the 2021 series.
 
Converse Notes:

• Converse is 10-16 overall and 1-3 in Conference Carolinas play after dropping a pair of games to Lees-McRae on Tuesday afternoon. The Bobcats won game one 5-0 and game two 13-1.
• Kayla Rocha had the lone hit in game one while Karleigh Crabill recorded one hit and one RBI in game two, Chesney Miles had two hits and Katelynn Tuxbury had one run and one hit. Serrah Ballard pitched a total of 3.1 innings on the day with three strikeouts, Rylee Summers threw for 3.3 innings and Emily Ingle pitched 2.1 innings with one strikeout in game two.
• Crabill leads the Valkyries overall with 49 at bats, 10 runs, 20 hits, four doubles, one triple, one home run and nine RBIs with a .408 batting average, .592 slugging percentage and a .464 on base percentage. Miles follows with 56 at bats, 15 runs, 16 hits, one double and five RBIs with a .286 batting average, .304 slugging percentage and a .403 on base percentage.
• Summers leads in the circle, pitching a total of 46.1 innings with 10 strikeouts and a 4.23 ERA. Ballard follows with 49.1 innings pitched and 33 strikeouts.
• Miles leads in runs scored (15) and stolen bases (15) and Crabill leads in hits (20) and total bases (29).

Tusculum Notes:

• Tusculum is 15-16 overall and 4-8 in South Atlantic Conference play after picking up 5-0 and 3-2 wins over Coker on Saturday, March 18.
• Kallyn Newport leads the Pioneers overall with 108 at bats, 28 runs, 42 hits, 12 doubles, one triple, one home run and seven RBIs with a .389 batting average, .407 on base percentage and a .546 slugging percentage. Claire Smeltzer follows with 107 at bats, 23 runs, 42 hits, 11 doubles, one triple, four home runs and 31 RBIs with a .393 batting average, .430 on base percentage and a .626 slugging percentage.
• Emily Sappington is Tusculum's top pitcher, throwing for a total of 77.1 innings with 91 strikeouts and a 2.90 ERA. Ireland Cavanaugh follows with 73.2 total innings, 47 strikeouts and a 3.99 ERA.

Chowan Notes:

• Chowan is 14-11 overall and 1-3 in Conference Carolinas play after dropping two games to Emmanuel on Saturday, March 18. The Lions grabbed 5-1 and 12-2 victories over the Hawks.
• Chowan will face fellow conference opponent Southern Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon before traveling to Converse on Sunday.
• Serena Riley leads the Hawks overall with 64 at bats, 16 runs, 21 hits, six doubles, three home runs and 16 RBIs with a .328 batting average, .563 slugging percentage and a .434 on base percentage. Haleigh Reid follows with 66 at bats, seven runs, 21 hits, five doubles, one triple, two home runs and 14 RBIs with a .318 batting average, .515 slugging percentage and a .366 on base percentage.
• Haileigh Boone leads in the circle with 62.0 innings pitched, 49 strikeouts and a 4.50 ERA. Bailey Wilcox follows with 68.0 innings pitched, 54 strikeouts and a 5.16 ERA.
• McKenzie Misenheimer leads in runs scored (16) and stolen bases (14) and Riley leads in total bases (36).
