The Series
These will be the 13^th and 14^th games between Converse and Lees-McRae. The Bobcats hold a 9-3 series advantage over the Valkyries, sweeping last year's series 14-2 and 3-0. Converse picked up their most recent win against Lees-McRae in 2021 with a final score of 9-4.
 
Converse Notes:

• Converse is 10-14 overall and 1-1 in Conference Carolinas play after splitting with King on Saturday afternoon. The Valkyries picked up a game one 5-3 win over the reigning Conference Carolinas champions before dropping game two 16-4.
• Chesney Miles led Converse in the game one comeback with four at bats, two runs and two hits. Kayla Rocha recorded three at bats, two hits and one RBI while Serrah Ballard had three at bats, one run and two hits while pitching all seven innings with two strikeouts.
• Karleigh Crabill leads the team overall with 45 at bats, 10 runs, 19 hits, four doubles, one triple, one home run and eight RBIs with a .422 batting average, .622 slugging percentage and a .471 on base percentage. AJ Albano follows with 40 at bats, six runs, 12 hits, one double, one triple and seven RBIs with a .300 batting average, .375 slugging percentage and a .317 on base percentage.
• Rylee Summers is the Valkyries top pitcher, pitching 42.1 total innings with eight strikeouts. Ballard follows with 45.2 total innings pitched and 30 strikeouts.
• Miles leads in runs scored (15) and stolen bases (13) and Crabill leads in hits (19) and total bases (28).

Lees-McRae Notes:

• Lees-McRae is 11-9 overall with this being their first Conference Carolinas game on the season.
• The Bobcats split with No. 23 Lenoir-Rhyne on March 16, picking up a 5-1 game one win and a 9-7 game two loss.
• Grayson Buckner leads Lees-McRae overall with 47 at bats, eight runs, 17 hits, four home runs and nine RBIs with a .362 batting average, .617 slugging percentage and a .380 on base percentage. Julie Gast follows with 66 at bats, 14 runs, 23 hits, six doubles, one home run and 11 RBIs with a .348 batting average, .485 slugging percentage and a .394 on base percentage.
• Megan Powell leads in the circle, pitching a total of 48.2 innings with 58 strikeouts and a 2.59 ERA. Jada Wilson follows with 58.0 innings pitched, 42 strikeouts and a 2.64 ERA.
• Gast leads the Bobcats in runs scored (14) and total bases (32) while Jordyn Scott leads in stolen bases (4).
