Women’s Tennis Travels to Gardner-Webb on Tuesday

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Converse University women's tennis team will travel up the road on Tuesday afternoon to battle Gardner-Webb at the Webb Tennis Complex.

This will be the first ever meeting between Converse and Gardner-Webb since the Valkyries became an NCAA institution in 2007.

Converse Notes:

Converse went 0-2 this past weekend with losses to Anderson University and Division I foe Wofford on Sunday afternoon.
On Friday afternoon, freshman Khushi Kharb picked up her second win of the season as she defeated the 18^th ranked player in the southeast region.
Lais Martins, Marleen Prinz and Natalie White are the only other Valkyries with wins this season.
On the doubles court the tandem of Prinz and White is the only Valkyrie pairing that has secured a win this season.

Gardner-Webb Notes:

Gardner-Webb is 0-1 this season after a loss to Charlotte on Friday afternoon. The Bulldogs lost 7-0 to the Niners and lost in straight sets at every court.
In singles action Manon Delsol plays at the No. 1 singles spot, Emilia Roslund plays at the No. 2 singles position and Maria Jardim rounds out the top-3 in singles action.
Elise Semmartin plays at the No. 4 singles court, Cayline Le Grange is currently slated to play at the No. 5 singles court and Katie Watts is currently playing at the No. 6 singles court.
In doubles action the Bulldogs top duo is Jardim and Roslund, followed by Delsol and Watts, and Fyvie and Semmartin.
