The Series
This will be the 5^th and 6^th games played between Converse and Claflin. The Panthers hold a 3-1 advantage over the Valkyries who defeated Claflin 5-3 in their most recent meeting in 2019.
 
Converse Notes:

• Converse is 7-9 overall after picking up a sweep over Wesleyan College on Saturday afternoon.
• In the game one 5-2 win, AJ Albano and Kayla Rocha each had two hits with Albano, Serrah Ballard and Madeline Modica all having one RBI while Rocha had two. Rocha also hit her first collegiate home run during the game one win. Ballard pitched 3.2 innings with five strikeouts while Rylee Summers pitched 3.1 innings with one strikeout.
• In the game two 11-0 win, Karleigh Crabill and Modica each had three hits with Crabill having three RBIs and Modica having two. Crabill also hit her first collegiate home run during the bottom of the first inning. Makenna Hill led in stolen bases with two and Summers picked up the win in the circle, pitching five innings with four strikeouts.
• Crabill leads the Valkyries overall with 31 at bats, seven runs, 12 hits, one double, one triple, one home run and four RBIs with a .387 batting average, .581 slugging percentage and a .441 on base percentage. Ayellad Howard follows with 37 at bats, nine runs, 12 hits and five RBIs with a .324 batting average, .324 slugging percentage and a .405 on base percentage.
• Summers leads in the circle, pitching 22.1 innings with six strikeouts. Ballard follows with 16.2 innings pitched and 16 strikeouts.
• Howard leads Converse in runs scored (9) and stolen bases (8).

Claflin Notes:

• Claflin is 5-5 overall after splitting with North Greenville on Wednesday afternoon. The Panthers dropped the first game 9-0 but rebounded and picked up an 8-4 win in game two.
• Zecariya Fenwick leads Claflin overall with 30 at bats, eight runs, 12 hits, two doubles, two triples, two home runs and nine RBIs with a .400 batting average, .800 slugging percentage and a .424 on base percentage. Kennedy Baskerville follows with 24 at bats, five runs, nine hits, one triple and three runs with a .375 batting average, .458 slugging percentage and a .444 on base percentage.
• Jaelyn Jackson leads in the circle, pitching 37.2 innings with 34 strikeouts and a 3.72 ERA. Breyanna Collins follows with 25 innings pitched and 15 strikeouts with a 5.04 ERA.
