The Series
This will be the fourth all-time meeting between Converse and Montreat dating back to the 2017 season. Converse is 2-1 all-time against the Cavaliers and the Valkyries average just over 18 goals per game against Montreat. However, Montreat spoiled the Valkyries home opener last season when they won 14-13 at Weisiger Stadium.

Converse Notes
- Converse is 0-2 this season and is coming off a 10-9 loss to Coker on Saturday afternoon at Weisiger Stadium.
- Cassidy O'Neill led the team with 4 goals on the afternoon, Brenna Everette contributed a pair of goals and Karter Lauer, Ryleigh Schaeffer and Madelyn Robinson each added a goal in the loss. Hailey Obenchain led the team with 4 assists on the afternoon, while Everette contributed a pair of assists in the loss.
- Reagan Collins earned Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Week after she tied her career high in saves with 17 against the Cobras on Saturday. Collins posted a .630 save percentage in her first start of the season.
- Converse is averaging 7.0 goals per game this season, 5.0 assists per game, 19.0 shots per game and 15.5 shots on goal per game this year.
- The Valkyries have scored on three free position goals this season, have recorded 34 ground balls, forced 16 turnovers, won 22 draw controls and have posted a .700 clear percentage.
- Obenchain leads the team in assists (7) and total points (7). O'Neill leads the team in goals scored (6), shots on goal (8) and free position goals (2). Everette and Schaeffer are both second on the team in goals scored with three each.

Montreat Notes
- This will be the season opener for Montreat as they have had to cancel their first three matches of the season.
- Last season, the Cavaliers went 12-7 overall and 4-3 in conference play a season ago.
- Montreat made it all the way to the AAC Tournament Semifinals before falling to SCAD-Savannah 26-9. The Cavaliers defeated two other Conference Carolinas schools besides Converse, with wins over Lees-McRae and Erskine.
- Kate Gauntlett led the Cavaliers last season in goals (114), assists (48), points (162), total shots (160) and shots on goal (131). Mina Hicks returns as the second leading scorer with 40 goals, Izzy Knight finished third on the team with 39 and Hannah Jarboe contributed 37 goals a season ago.
- Junior Carlie Henning was the top goalie option for the Cavaliers a season ago, she led the team in minutes played (1,040), goals against average (15.28), saves (166) and save percentage (.385).
