WINSTON SALEM, N.C. – Ruth Spijker dominated on day two of the Conference Carolinas Indoor Track and Field Championships, adding two more gold medals to her name and the title of Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year. Spijker helped the Valkyrie women place 3^rd overall, the highest finish in Converse history, while the men's team finished 10^th.
 
Converse Notables:

• Spijker picked up first place in the 1-mile event with a personal record time of 5:14.60 and another gold medal in the 800-meter dash with a time of 2:19.32. Kamille Dixon placed 6^th in the mile at 5:26.77 while Lauren Beatty placed 8^th at 5:28.86.
• Phoebe Myers grabbed second place in the 60-meter hurdles at 8.92 seconds. D'Asia Thomas finished closely behind in 4^th at 9.33 seconds. Both times were personal records.
• In the men's 60-meter dash, Gavin McFadden got on the podium with a second-place finish at 6.89 seconds. He placed 5^th in the 200-meter finals at 22.23 seconds. Both of McFadden's times were new personal records.
•  Eseose Okoduwa placed 7^th overall at a time of 7.78 seconds in the women's 60-meter dash.
• Lauren Beatty placed 6^th in the 3,000-meter run at a time of 10:56.48.
• Shaniya Grey, Latavia Bracey-Ransom, Aaliyah Morgan and Krishayla Boyd, the women's 4x400 team, placed 4^th overall with a time of 4:05.75 which is a new Converse school record.
• Bella Martin placed 7^th in shot put with a school record mark of 11.62 meters.
