Grace Davis and Brandon Morton were recognized for their accomplishes during indoor track season

Davis Named Southeast Region Track Athlete of the Year, Morton Named Women’s Southeast Region Coach of the Year

NEW ORLEANS – Fresh off the program's first indoor national championship, the accolades continue to roll in for the Converse University women's track & field team. Freshman Grace Davis earned Southeast Region Track Athlete of the Year, while the Director of Cross Country and Track and Field was named the Women's Southeast Region Coach of the Year. It is the second time in his career that he has earned the award.

Davis won the 60-meter dash national championship with a PR of 7.26 in the championship race. She is the first woman to win an indoor national championship in Conference Carolinas history. Davis also set the meet record at the Conference Carolinas Indoor Championships.

Morton helped lead the Valkyries to a runner-up finish at the Conference Carolinas Indoor Championship. The Valkyries set program records in seven events, including Davis's 60-meter dash national championship.
