The Series
This will be the first time that Converse and Tuskegee will play each other and just the second time that they will play Columbus State. The Cougars hold a 1-0 series lead over the Valkyries with their last win being a 13-3 victory in 2019.
 
Converse Notes:

• Converse is 5-1 overall after picking up a series sweep over St. Andrews on Tuesday afternoon.
• In the 8-0 game one win, Jaydin Gentile and Grace McKinney each recorded two runs and Rylee Summer had three RBIs while picking up her first win in the circle. In the 10-4 game two win, Ayellad Howard, Ryan Finazzo and Victoria Dichio each had two runs while Finazzo led the Valkyries with two RBIs. Serrah Ballard pitched two innings with two strikeouts while Emily Ingle finished out the remaining three innings.
• Karleigh Crabil leads the team overall with 10 at-bats, four runs and six hits with a .600 batting average, .600 slugging percentage and a .667 on base percentage. Dichio follows with 11 at-bats, five runs, five hits, one double and six RBIs with a .455 batting average, .545 slugging percentage and a .538 on base percentage.
• Howard leads the team in runs (8) and hits (8).
• Dichio leads Converse in the circle with a 4.28 ERA, 18 innings pitched and 14 strikeouts.

Tuskegee Notes:

• This will be the first time that Converse and Tuskegee will face each other.
• The Golden Tigers went 29-13 overall last season and 18-1 in SIAC play with a 14-5 neutral site record.
• Kendra Gibbons led Tuskegee last season with 119 at-bats, 37 runs, 48 hits, 16 doubles, four triples, five home runs and 32 RBIs with a .403 batting average, .731 slugging percentage and a .455 on base percentage. Myracle Hawkins followed with 94 at-bats, 31 runs, 35 hits, six doubles, two triples and 21 RBIs with a .372 batting average, .479 slugging percentage and a .416 on base percentage.
• Kaeley Roldan is the leading returning pitcher for the Golden Tigers, pitching a total of 62.1 innings last year with a 3.61 ERA and 24 strikeouts.

Columbus State Notes:

• This will be just the second time that the Cougars and the Valkyries will meet  on the softball field.
• Columbus State went 30-24 overall last season and 17-7 in Peach Belt Conference play with a 16-9 home record.
• Hannah Rose Corbin led the team overall last season with 135 at-bats, 36 runs, 48 hits, 12 doubles, 11 home runs and 40 RBIs with a .356 batting average, .689 slugging percentage and a .569 on base percentage. Caitlyn Canady followed with 200 at-bats, 44 runs, 65 hits, eight doubles, two triples, one home run and 19 RBIs with a .325 batting average, .400 slugging percentage and a .354 on base percentage.
• Corbin also led the Cougars in the circle, pitching 190.1 innings with a 2.72 ERA and 203 strikeouts.
