SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Converse University women's tennis team will look to build off of their success from a season ago with a trip over to Limestone this Friday and Saturday.
This weekend's tournament will be the first of four fall dates for the women's tennis team. Last season, went 7-13 overall and 4-7 in Conference Carolinas play. Converse made the conference tournament but lost in the opening round to Barton.
Tonya Glogowski-Watson,
Marleen Prinz and
Luiza Estrada are some of the top returners from a season ago. Glogowski-Watson went 8-11 overall and 7-11 at the No. 2 singles flight, while Estrada and Prinz both spent time at the No. 3 singles position for the Valkyries lineup.
Brooke Benefield,
Rebekka Braziel and
Kelsy White also return to this year's squad.
The Valkyries have added a wealth of talent from both transfers and freshman alike. New to this year's team is
