The Series:
This will be the fourth all-time meeting between Converse and Tusculum dating back to the 2015 season. The Pioneers are 3-0 against the Valkyries in the overall series and won the last meeting 19-13 at Pioneer Field.  
 
Converse Notes:
  • The Valkyries are 0-5 overall this season and they are coming off a 21-19 loss to Southern Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon.
  • Junior attackman Cassidy O'Neill led the Valkyries with a career high 9 goals against the Warriors, while Libby Stevens and Haleigh McSwain each added a hat trick in the loss.   
  • Converse is averaging 11.8 goals per game and 28.4 shots per game this season. The Valkyries have recorded 76 total ground balls, 31 caused turnovers, 67 draw control wins and have a 65 percent clear rate on the season.
  • O'Neill leads the Valkyries offense with 18 goals scored this season, Brenna Everette is second on the team with 13 goals and Stevens is third on the team with 10 goals scored. Stevens leads the team with 12 assists and 22 points, while Everette leads the team in draw control wins with 38.
  • Ciriaca Petitto leads the team in ground balls (25) and caused turnovers (9). Petitto also leads the conference in ground balls per game (5.00). Madalynn Brunner has started all five games in goal for the Valkyries this season, Brunner has made 55 saves on 169 shots faced.

Tusculum Notes:
  • Tusculum is 2-5 overall and 0-2 in South Atlantic Conference action this season. The Pioneers are coming off a 13-10 loss to Newberry on Saturday afternoon.
  • Lucy Brewer led Tusculum with 5 goals on the day, while Tia Tuininga finished second on the team with a pair of goals.
  • The Pioneers are averaging 11.43 goals per game and they are taking 23.29 shots per game this season. Tusculum has recorded 116 ground balls, forced 51 turnovers and has won 95 draw controls.
  • Five different Pioneers have recorded at least 10 goals this season, Tuininga (22 goals), Brewer (12 goals), Kylie Marek (11 goals) and Emily Youngblood (10 goals).
  • Tuininga also leads the team in points (29), assists (7), ground balls (14), total shots (44) and shots on goal (38). Marek leads the team with 26 draw control wins, while Brewer and Youngblood are close behind with 25 and 21 draw control wins respectively.
  • Taylor Floyd and Caroline Monroe have split time in goal this season for the Pioneers. Floyd has made four starts, has allowed 64 goals and has made 57 saves on the season. Monroe has made three starts in goal, while allowing 30 goals and has made 21 saves in the process.
